This one feels like it has slightly stronger holding power than the one with rod which should mean less dropping of items if they're a bit too heavy for the other one. I think I'll be happy with this product but will need to withhold full judgment until I've used it for some time.

If your a DIY guy or a professional craftsman this item is a must. It's made my life so much easier when working on home projects to keep screws, nails, and alternate bits all right on my wrist. My father installs satellites for a living and swears by these things.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my father. It was better than I expected. Seems to be made of a nice durable canvas material. It will adjust to any wrist size. And what impressed me the most was the strong magnets. I stuck a cheap pair of large scissors to it and the held, then a large serving spoon and even a moderately heavy chef knife and it held with no problem.
